2010 – Newport Oregon – 12 Hour – Tuna Trip

Our 2nd Annual Deep Sea Fishing Tournament will be held this year in Newport Oregon and hosted by Yaquina Bay Charters.

Fishing dates of 7/16 and 7/17 have been arranged and we are taking reservations now. We have a total of 20 spots spanning two days. We have a shot at Albacore Tuna, Halibut, Coho or Chinook Salmon, Varieties of Rockfish and maybe even some fresh crab to go with it. Of course we won’t know about the Halibut regulations until closer to their seasons. If you are interested in attending this years event fill our our contact form listed off the top main menu.   • Fishing Trip for two with Yaquina Bay Charters
  • Deep Sea Fishing Rod and Reel Combo picture coming soon
    • The Fishing Rod is an Osprey trolling rod, 5.5 feet long and has an action for 60-80 lbs.  It has all roller eyes.
    • The  Reel is a Mitchell riptide level wind 4/0 reel. Meant for heavy duty like halibut or tuna or deep reef bottom fishing.

What are we fishing for? (in this order based on season and weather)

Albacore Tuna, Halibut, Coho Salmon, Rockfish and we will add Crabbing to the trip as well for those who feel like pulling up a pot of Dungeness Crab.

Price: $210 per day (12 hours) You can reserve your spot with a 50% deposit, just click on over to the events registration page and sign up now. The remaining balance will be collected before you obtain your rod and reel and gain access to the fishing vessel. Book both days for $400. If  you prefer, you can call the Charter company direct and simply leave a Credit card with them to hold your spot. Please make sure you tell them to put you with the tournament group.

Refund policy: 14 day cancellation notice for full refund, up to 14 days out 1/2 refund, Day of *weather related – full refund.

What to Wear: Dress in Layers and bring rain gear. The weather on the Oregon coast can change rather quickly. Non-slip closed toe shoes or boots required.
